Team Vodafone help turn the tables

July 17, 2017

Well done to the graduate team Merce, Aroa, Yasuara and Co. at Vodafone Newbury who arranged a fun Table Football Tournament and raised £500!

“Hello everybody! We are a group of Discover Graduates who arrived from Spain last September to join Vodafone Group in UK and last June we had the pleasure to organise a Table Football Tournament in Vodafone Headquarters, where we raise £500 for the Joanna Simpson Foundation, together with the collaboration ot the Vodafone Foundation.

It was a week full of fun, where we discover real table football professionals among our colleagues.

The event was held in one of the main buildings, in the hall, in order to attract people and make awareness of a harsh topic like domestic abuse.

We use the tournament, not only to give visibility to this awful reality but also it was a way to connect different people to fight against it in a healthy and fun environment.

The winners were Wendy and Pete, very skilled and focused players, and they received a basket full of imported Spanish products, that they enjoyed with their family and friends.

We believe that any small action or change, together with millions of small changes, can generate a big impact in our society, and that is the reason why we started this initiative. Keep an eye on what are we planning next ;)”
